What principles should be followed when using oxygen cylinders
Date:2024.09.25
Oxygen cylinder manufacturers said that in the process of using oxygen cylinders, strictly follow the principles of the use of oxygen cylinders in order to ensure the safety of oxygen cylinders. Both during transportation and storage, there are some safety issues. So, what principles should be followed in the use of cylinders? Now let's talk about some of the principles that need to be followed: high-pressure cylinders must be stored in different categories in different places, fixed and secure when placed upright; Gas cylinders should be away from heat sources, avoid exposure to sunlight and strong vibration; The number of laboratory gas cylinders should generally not exceed two, and the shoulders of the cylinders should be marked with the following symbols: date of manufacture, cylinder model, working pressure, air pressure test pressure, air pressure test date and next delivery date, gas volume, cylinder weight, in order to avoid various confusion when planting the cylinders, the cylinders are often painted with different colors and the name of the gas in the cylinder. The pressure reducer selected on the high pressure cylinder should be classified and dedicated. Oxygen cylinder manufacturers suggest tightening screws to prevent leakage; When opening and closing the pressure reducer and switching valve, the action must be slow; When the oxygen cylinder manufacturer uses it, the on-off valve should be opened first, and then the decompression machine; After use, first close the switch valve, exhaust the remaining air and then close the pressure reducer. Don't just turn off the regulator, don't turn off the on-off valve. When using high-pressure cylinders, the operator should stand perpendicular to the cylinder interface during operation. Do not knock or impact, and always check for air leakage. Pay attention to the reading of the pressure gauge.
